Cultivating Community Resilience and Local Abundance

This farm began with a decision—to dedicate my own yard to growing food and raising chickens. That simple choice opened the door to a bigger vision, one that’s grown to include a vacant lot, a thriving produce operation, and deep connections across the local food movement. My story is about starting small, staying grounded, and saying yes to opportunity when it knocks. Over time, I’ve built something that reflects not just my passion for growing, but my belief in the power of community and the potential of every seed planted with care.

What drives me is a commitment to quality in everything I do—from the soil I tend to the partnerships I build. I believe in food that’s grown with love, in systems that support life at every level, and in creating a future where small-scale farmers are seen, supported, and celebrated. This work has led me to collaborate with schools, speak on panels, and contribute to statewide programs—all rooted in lived experience and a deep desire to see others thrive. Black Chick Farm is more than a business—it’s a movement born from the soil and fueled by purpose.
